nb. Magazine
Editorial and marketing design for a modern literary magazine
The Challenge
NB. Magazine needed editorial layouts and marketing materials that felt fresh and engaging, while still staying true to their established look and feel. The challenge was creating a consistent visual identity across both print and digital formats, including a new quarterly zine, that would resonate with their community of curious, thoughtful readers.
My Approach
I focused on clean layouts, considered typography and a warm, contemporary style that complements the tone of the magazine. Alongside designing spreads, promotional graphics and social media content, I collaborated with Jasmine Hortop on cover designs to bring everything together visually. The goal was to create something that felt polished but not overly slick, just inviting, clear and true to the content.
The Result
The updated design helped NB. Magazine evolve while keeping its identity intact, strengthening its connection with readers and making the transition to digital feel smooth and intentional. Across every format, the visuals now reflect the heart of the magazine: thoughtful, engaging and all about great books.
